90 DAYS

A question I often get is, How do some of the most successful executives and CEOs start their year? Having coached some of the most prominent leaders across the globe, I’ve seen a particular practice that gives them a tremendous advantage. I call it the 90-Day Ritual.

The concept is simple but powerful: the first 90 days of a new role, a new project, or a new year can significantly impact your success or failure, with lasting implications for the rest of the year—and even your career. These initial days are a critical period for setting the tone, gaining clarity, and charting your course.

Why are these 90 days so crucial? It’s during this time that you must have absolute clarity about where you’re headed. Once you know your destination, you can begin to strategically plan how to make the biggest impact and what specific actions will lead to success. It’s about laying the groundwork, identifying key goals, and setting a pace that will drive results.

For those who want to explore this concept in greater detail, I recently submitted an article to the Times of India Readers Blog about how to kickstart your year with intention and purpose. In it, I offer insights on how to structure your first 90 days to align with your long-term goals.

So, I challenge you: focus on those first 90 days. Get clear on what you want to achieve and how you plan to get there. Your success for the rest of the year depends on it!
