Hello!
Today I would like to talk to you about - Comparison.
Whenever I see people comparing themselves to someone else, I am reminded of the story about the crow and the swan. So there's this crow that lived in the forest and was very satisfied with his life. But one day, he saw the swan. He thought to himself that the source said that the swan might be the happiest in the world now. The crow immediately expressed his thoughts to the swan, and the swan replied and said that, "I was feeling that I was the happiest bird around until I saw the parrot, which has two colours. I now think that the parrot is the happiest bird in all of creation.".
The crow then approached the parrot, and the parrot said, Oh, I lived a very happy life until I saw a peacock.I have only two colours, but the peacock has multiple colours. The crow then visited a peacock in the zoo and saw that hundreds of people had gathered to see him. After the people had left, the crow approached the peacock. Tea Peacock, The crow said, "You are so beautiful. Every day, thousands of people come to see you. When people see me, they immediately show me away. I think you are the happiest bird on the planet.", the peacock replied, "I always thought that I was the most beautiful and happy bird on the planet. But because of my beauty, I am entrapped in the zoo. I have examined the zoo very carefully, and I have realised that the crow is the only bird not kept in the cage. So for the past few days, I have been thinking that if I were a crow, I could happily roam everywhere."
That's our problem too. We end up looking after other people's success, which leaves us behind. We enter into this vicious cycle of unhappiness. This is the habit that is crippling our success.
There is one thing that you will always be better at than other people, which is being yourself and being completely true to yourself. What really matters is what you think about yourself, about what you do, about what your standards are, and about what you can learn. Everyone gets one chance to be in the workforce, so plan your own game. As I always say, compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Life will be much better.
Hope this helps in your journey toward success.
