HOW EVERY WOMAN CAN COMMIT TO HER SUCCESS

Here’s the formatted version with three paragraphs:

When it comes to success, men and women are no different. What is different is our habits. And in the midst of all this women empowerment and breaking the glass ceiling messages that we receive, women have begun to believe that achieving success is a struggle for them in the so-called male-dominated industries. Many women give up on their success. What we need to believe, rather, is that both women and men face obstacles in their careers. For instance, I have often noticed that women face the barrier of being unheard during meetings, while a man faces the difficulty of articulating his idea to his boss. In both cases, the barrier exists. With this understanding that each of us will face our share of obstacles regardless of gender, our focus must now shift to how we, as women, can navigate through our challenges and achieve success in whatever we do.

Cathy, what women can do to seriously strengthen their chances of success is to root in one habit that will change their behavior and response at work and in business. When you practice daily on building this one habit, it will improve your experience at work and better prepare you to reach your goals. It is bound to unleash the energy and confidence inside you, and you will commit to your success. So go ahead, get your pen and paper out and begin to take notes on this powerful and often neglected habit called willpower. The biggest power we have is willpower. A great deal of our inability to achieve our goals can be attributed to the lack of willpower. I define willpower as the ability to do what matters most, even when it's difficult or when some part of you doesn't want to do it. It's a combination of courage, mental stamina, and determination. Boiled down to its essence, willpower is the ability to think before acting. As women, we need to be mentally strong and not lose control of ourselves, especially our emotions. Negative emotions like regret, depression, anger, and emotional pain often stand in our way. You've got to develop a strong willpower to control and channel these emotions rather than let them overwhelm you.

Willpower is about going beyond controlling your emotions; it is about making choices to be a world-class, legendary woman of success. You must think long-term and make great choices. Many women scroll through social media instead of working on their next big project, watch Netflix instead of learning a new skill, or go shopping instead of writing that great next book. We underutilize our own brainpower. Tapping into your willpower is one way to overcome this struggle and make great choices. Willpower is about turning your "shoulds" into "musts." Most of us do not create a list of our musts, and hence our willpower never builds up.

Today, I encourage you to write down three things you must do to reach your goals. Once you know your musts, decide where to focus your energy. Be strict with what and who you let into your life. The best way to create spectacular results in the most important areas of your life is through daily practice. Success, joy, and inner peace don’t just happen—you need to create them. As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will." My question to you is, are you willing to develop a rock-solid willpower to attain your goals? Stay connected on my YouTube channel, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
