How to know if you made the right decision?
Working with some of the most successful people in the world, I have observed that they follow a straightforward yet powerful decision-making equation. Leaders need to make tough decisions daily at work. Sometimes it's about moving their careers, sometimes it's about the team, and sometimes they have to make critical decisions for the organization.
An easy way to know if your decisions are right or wrong is through these three-step questions. Number one, ask yourself, is my decision based out of fear or faith? Out of frustration or inspiration? Out of ego or humbleness? Second question: will this decision help me and my team to grow? Third question: will I regret making this decision now?
Even after you answer these questions, your decision might go wrong, and you should be okay with it. Because you expanded your thinking, you challenged yourself to do something different. So I encourage you to apply these three questions to your next big decisions that you want to make.
