Let me begin by asking you something. Have you ever failed? And can you think of the reasons why you failed? I'm sure we all have our own explanations—time management, the economy, skills, knowledge, confidence, the boss, company culture, corporate politics, and the list goes on. When it comes to failure, it often boils down to one phrase: I did not have the resources. Many of us fail in our careers because we believe we lack resources. But does that mean people with more resources always succeed? Let me introduce you to my client, Marcia. Born with a silver spoon, she had everything—family support, the best education, money, and a strong professional network. She wanted to build a business and had all the resources, yet three years in, she was about to shut it down. That’s when she came to me for coaching. After eight sessions, she not only revived her business but expanded it internationally. You, too, may know people who seem to have everything yet don’t achieve much, while others with barely any resources rise to great heights. The difference? Some look for resources outside, while others tap into the resources within.
All the resources necessary for success are already within you. You are born resourceful. We all originate from the universe, and just like the universe, we are powerful and limitless. External resources are limited, but inner resources—your mindset, creativity, resilience—are infinite. External resources can decrease, but inner resources only grow. Inner resources generate external resources. Yet, most of the time, we let our lack of external resources hold us back. You may feel motivated to succeed, but your mind keeps asking, How? How can I do this without a certificate? Without money? Without a team? Without my boss’s support? And so, days turn into months, months into years, and you remain stuck. But our inner power is like fire—when unleashed for constructive purposes, it spreads like a blaze. Science, particularly quantum physics, proves that our bodies vibrate at high frequencies when we are in a positive state. If you are constantly anxious, your energy vibrates at a low frequency, making you susceptible to negativity. That is why harnessing your positive inner power is crucial. A resourceful person achieves success regardless of the situation.
Each of us is self-made—either self-made successful or self-made failures. Yet, we often blame external factors like budgets, corporate politics, or lack of manpower for our stagnation. But success isn’t about what’s outside; it’s about what’s inside. Let me share a real-life example. In Dubai, I once met a cab driver who transformed her life by tapping into her inner resources. She realized that most taxis lacked cleanliness, friendliness, and extra services, so she decided to stand out. She wrote a mission statement, started offering drinks and snacks, and built strong customer relations. Over time, she gained a loyal clientele, and her earnings grew. She chose to be an eagle that soars above obstacles instead of a duck that complains. The difference between ducks and eagles is simple—ducks quack and blame, while eagles rise above challenges. Resourcefulness is a conscious choice, a leadership trait that helps you maximize your potential in every situation. The truth is, self-made people didn’t start with privilege—they started by believing in what they could do. So, recognize your inner power, step into your greatness, and watch the resources you need naturally come to you.
